My student was having a dilemma about his choice of career path. He had boldly gone with his heart, soul and spent his bank account on his dream. After blood, sweat and tears, he sadly returned home empty handed. He asked me why he would want to do something so badly, only to have it blow up instructional learning consultant his face? He did learn a valuable lesson, he made some new friends, but at the end of the day, the project just didn't work. But why?Risk-taking. Leaders sometimes take a fall-some are harder than others. But if they do not risk their neck and their reputation, then they will not also learn the value of victory. Young leaders have to come to terms with the level of risk they can take comfortably. They also need to learn how to establish safety nets in case some of their risky maneuvers fail.2-Utilize trackers!! Tracking your progress is imperative. In fact, many instructional learning consultant have seen that tracking alone increases productivity by 10% or more, without implementing any other changes. When you've implemented something new, whether it's a new marketing strategy or perio program, using a tracker will allow you to see what's working and where you need to make adjustments. If your hygiene team is presenting the perio treatment but it's not showing up on the tracker as completed, then you know you need to look at how you're admin team is presenting financial arrangements or if the schedule is allowing those patients to be cared for quickly.2) Tax Credits - You may be able to take advantage of tax credits for returning to school for a degree. For example, if you decide to pursue that master's degree in Instructional Design, you could claim the Lifetime Learning Credit, which is a $2,000 deduction on your taxes for each year you are a student.Keep a clear vision in your mind in every meeting, every conversation, every choice you make - when you're convinced your convincing and we all need a fan base. If you're not 100% clear, hire a coach and get clear.Be authentic. Your message must be not only instructional learning consultant but also real. "Own" your message. Build the core of your presentation around the concept of filling a need. Demonstrate how your expertise will benefit your clients, then prove why you're the right match for that client.2) You must learn communication and people skills. This is a people and Leadership Development business. Understand people and you will understand network marketing. There is NO system that replaces people completely. Learn the personality colors or styles. Learn the art of active listening. Understand human behavior. Every wealthy person knows how people think. Every successful network marketer that I know or have trained under, is a master of understanding people and behavior. How, then, do managers transcend from a traditional, transactional approach to leadership, in which the manager negotiates with the subordinate: "Do this, and this is what I'll give you." Often, these are not explicit conversations, but rather implicit understandings. The employee knows that if he does 'this and this,' and not 'that and that,' he'll receive something in return. Does this method of 'leadership' build commitment from staff? Does it enroll the individual in a common mission and vision? Or is it oriented more towards compliance and implicit consent of not rocking the boat?Instruction on the web is generally poor. I've said the same for two years. Some web instruction is appallingly poor. Very, very little is very good or even good. You've probably been frustrated by the inadequate instruction that's accompanied some package you've bought on the web. The packages are prepared by subject matter experts, not experts in instruction and Instructional Design. The subject matter experts simply don't know what they don't know. Their lack of instructional design skills limits the value of their expertise. The amount that it costs you to get a hair extension will be determined by the amount of hair you have put in place. The length of your current style and the length that you wish it to be extended are the first things to consider when talking price with your beauty instructional learning consultant. The second choice will be human versus synthetic material. Then the method of placement will come into consideration. Each method has its own set of complications and they take different lengths of time to perform. The hair specialist will charge you for the amount of time it takes her to install the length that you desire.I have been trying several different ways to re-invent myself over the past several months. This has been a very interesting journey as I am listening to all kinds of people who state in very convincing terms that they have found the way to a new life for me. Every one of them have fallen short of showing me the way that really gets me excited and filled with hope.Several years ago I participated in a Leadership Development course with 20 other up and coming leaders. We were lead by two instructors who guided us over a 6 month period to explore our potential as leaders. The course required that we pick a project that we would find challenging and that would provide us an opportunity to use our leadership skills. I was in a unique position that in my job at that time I had no projects on the go so I chose to make myself the project.
